I had a wonderful time at The Laylow, where I experienced excellent service from friendly staff that truly made my stay nice. The location is perfect for exploring Waikiki, and while the rooms are beautifully decorated, the views can be limited. Dining at the hotel was really good, although there could have been a few more amenities in the room to enhance the experience. 🌺🥥

The room was beautifully designed with comfortable bedding, although the ocean view was somewhat obstructed. I appreciated the thoughtful gift basket upon arrival.
Service

Service was fantastic, with staff like Ashley going out of their way to assist me and my family. They genuinely cared about our experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to walk to the beach and numerous shops. While I didn't have a stunning view, the convenience cannot be understated.
Dining

Dining at The Hideout was a highlight, with a fun atmosphere and delicious options like the French Toast and flatbread pizza.
Facilities

While the pool area was pleasant, it felt a bit narrow, and I wish there were more standard amenities like a kettle in the room.

6.2/10

I had a pleasant stay at The Laylow, Autograph Collection, with its fantastic location near Waikiki and great dining options nearby. The staff was mostly friendly, but the handling of elite benefits was disappointing, especially regarding breakfast choices. The vibrant decor added a unique touch, though my room faced a parking lot, which was less than ideal.

Rooms
6.0
My room had a charming Hawaiian retro chic vibe, with a comfortable king bed and thoughtful welcome amenities. However, I faced the parking lot, and the bathroom setup had some limitations, particularly with space. The temperature control was also tricky, causing discomfort during my stay.
Service
7.0
The staff, for the most part, were welcoming and helpful, especially my interactions with the bell service. That said, the front desk seemed to lack clarity on the elite benefits policy, which left me frustrated as a loyal member.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was excellent, as I could easily walk to Waikiki Beach and explore numerous shops and restaurants just around the corner. However, the parking situation was a bit of a hassle, given the bustling nature of Waikiki.
Dining
6.0
While I found great food options nearby, including local favorites, I was a bit disappointed that the hotel restaurant didn’t offer as much as I expected. I also noted the confusing advertising around early morning coffee availability.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were well-kept, and I enjoyed the lively atmosphere by the pool, with activities designed for all ages. However, I felt that basic amenities like in-room coffee setup were missing for a hotel at this price point.

I had a lovely stay at The Laylow, Autograph Collection. The welcoming vibe was solid, thanks to the friendly staff. However, noise from the pool and nearby areas could be a bummer for light sleepers.

I stayed in room 1515, a corner suite with a balcony that had great views. The room was clean, and I loved the welcome basket filled with useful goodies. Still, my friends who stayed on a lower floor found their room quieter.
Service
7.0
The staff were genuine and helped make my visit more enjoyable. Joey's warm welcome and Cassidy's attentive service at The Hideout were highlights. However, some complaints about room changes weren't handled as well as they should have been.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was super convenient, close to the beach and shopping spots. I could easily walk to many places without any hassle. Being just off the hustle and bustle was a nice bonus too.
Dining
8.0
The food at The Hideout was fantastic, especially the cocktails and happy hour deals. I found myself enjoying almost every meal there. But I wish there were more affordable options for families.
Facilities
7.0
The amenities like water fountains in the hallway and fun activities like lei making enhanced my experience. Though, I could've done without the $60 valet fee and room service issues. Still, the overall vibe was cool with lots to do.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Laylow! The location is perfect for exploring downtown Honolulu and just a stroll away from Waikiki Beach 🌊. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my visit. However, the air conditioning in my room could use some improvement, as it struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature at times. Overall, I would definitely consider returning for another stay! 😊

Rooms

The room was beautifully decorated and spacious, featuring a king-sized bed that offered really good comfort. I especially loved the beachy decor, which made me feel like I was truly in Hawaii. However, the temperature control was a bit of an issue, as I found it to be stuffy on some nights and then too cold afterward.
Service

The staff, from the bellmen to the reception team, provided excellent customer service. They were always friendly and worked to make my stay enjoyable, even offering a lovely welcome basket upon arrival. However, I did experience some delays with luggage service during check-in.
Location

The hotel’s location near the International Marketplace was a major highlight for me. It was close to numerous dining options and shopping, making it easy to explore. Plus, it was just a short walk to Waikiki Beach, though I do appreciate being away from the busier beach traffic.
Dining
7.0
I didn’t have a chance to dine at Hideout since I was out early each day, but I heard good things about their happy hour and the quality of food. The coffee situation could have been clearer, as I was disappointed to find only coffee available at the advertised early hour instead of coffee and pastries.
Facilities
8.0
The small pool was a nice touch, and I enjoyed the complimentary Hawaiian shaved ice at the pool during the afternoons. The gym was decent, but I felt the pool area could use a bit more sunlight for a warm experience throughout the day.

I had a good stay at The Laylow, where the attention from the staff truly impressed me. The location was perfect for exploring Waikiki, but the $60 valet fee felt a bit steep. Overall, the charming decor and welcoming atmosphere made my visit nice. 🌺

Rooms

My room was spacious and modern, with a nice balcony that offered a partial ocean view. However, one window lacked a proper darkening shade, which was a bit annoying when trying to sleep.

I had a wonderful experience dining at The Hideout, where the food was delicious though a little pricey. The vibe in the restaurant was lively, especially with live music in the evening.

The hotel had great facilities, including a small but fun pool area and a complimentary Hawaiian shaved ice during the afternoons, adding a nice, refreshing touch to my days.
